في ذات الوقت كانت اجهزه الاعلام المؤيدة للسيسي تقلل من اهميه الموضوع. مثلا قالت مراسله للسيد معتز الدمرداش ان "الاعتداءات الجنسيه منتشره بشكل كبير" خلال احتفالات السيد السيسي. و يبدو ان السيد معتز الدمرداش لاحظ ان ما قالته قد يثير المشاكل فحاول ان يصلح ما قالته فقال: "بالطبع المصريون سعداء و يحتفلون بصفحه جديده في تاريخهم. و لكنها تقول ان هناك من يختلق حالات التحرش عمدا".
