عاش الامام الرضا ( عليه السلام) حياة صعبة في ظل حكومة العباسيين بالتضييق على حريته ومنعه الالتقاء بالناس ليحرموهم من علمة ،رغم ان الحكام العباسيين حكموا باسم الاسلام وحملوا شعار الدولة المهدوية (يالثارات الحسين ) !! فلو بحثنا في ذلك من بداية حكمهم الى نهاية حكمهم ،لوجدنا انها شعارات لدولة متعسفة ظالمة ،لاوجود لعالم عندهم .والحاكم جزء من فكر ينخر في جسم الاسلام ، والسلطان منغمس بملذاته وجواريه وخموره والكل يتدخل بالحكم والحبل على الغارب .الى ان دخل التتار الى دولته ووصل الحال الى باب غرفته وقتل احد جواريه بسهم ، وهنا دخل بحزن شديد لجاريته وساقيته ملذاته ،
وبالمقابل السلطان العباسي قوي وشجاع باعتقال الامام الرضا ،وفي منتف الليل لإهانته والانتقاص من مكانته .وتناسى ان حكمه اتى بتضحيات الامام الحسين علية السلام سبب لجلوس الحاكم العباسي على الكرسي والمنصب والجاه ،فماذا نتصور شكل الحكم وما هو الدور الذي يلعبه الحاكم العباسي ؟ علما ان العجم والسلاجقة يسرحون ويمرحون بلا محاسب ورقيب ومن يسألهم عن اي شيء يفعلوه . وكذلك اليوم يوجد ذلك الفكر الجاهل الذي اسند بالإعلام الرخيص والمال والقوة المتسلطة ، ويستأكل .ويحارب العالم الرسالي بإسم الاسلام ،وتشوه سمعته وصورته و وعلمه وافكاره!! وكل ذلك لان المحقق الصرخي اراد من العراقي ان يتمتع بحريته في بلده ويأخذ حقوقه .واشاعة العلم ومحاربة الفاسدين .
لو أعدنا بإنصاف قراءة وتحليل فاجعة استشهاد الإمام الرضا - عليه السلام - لوجدناها تَجَمّعَ فيها عدّة مفاهيم ( ظاهر وباطن ومعلن ومخفي)، فالظاهر والمعلن يقترنان بحقيقة دامغة تكشف الدلالات السحيمة والإشكالات المتناقضة، التي وقع بها مبغضوه سلاطين النهج الخارجي وفرضوها بقسوة وسُخف بين الناس ليؤسسوا لثقافة السلطة القامعة، بمفهوم الانتماء القبلي والطبقي الضيق، والذي محقه الدين الإسلامي، وعلى حساب السلطة الشرعية السماوية بمُثُلها الإسلامية العليا، التي دعا لها الإمام الرضا - عليه السلام - ناصحًا ومصلحًا في عصره، الذي اتّسم بالشرود الديني والأخلاقي، والنزوع نحو التباغض والكراهية وإقصاء الآخر، ليدفع حياته ثمنًا نفيسًا بوقوفه عائقًا بوجه استعمار الفكر المارق.
