أسباب الطلاق في الإسلام تتعدّد أسباب الطلاق وتختلف بسبب تنوّع أحوال الناس، واختلاف المجتمعات، وبيان أهم الأسباب المؤدّية للطلاق فيما يأتي: من عدة مبررات ذاتية في الإنسان -

1... إنعدام الوئام والأُلفة بين الزوجين؛ وذلك لعدم محبة أحد الزوجين للآخر، أو لوجود البغض من كليهما. سوء الخُلق عند أحد الزوجين؛ ممّا يُفسد العِشرة بينهما، كسوء خُلق الزوج وظلمه لامرأته وعدم إنصافه لها، وكسوء خُلق الزوجة وعدم السمع والطاعة لزوجها بالمعروف. سوء الحال بين المرأة وأهل زوجها، أو بين الرجل وأهل زوجته.

2...وعدم الحكمة في معاملتهم. وقوع أحد الزوجين في المعاصي والمنكرات، كتعاطي المسكرات أو غير ذلك من أنواع المحرّمات؛ مما يؤدي إلى سوء الحال بين الزوجين. عدم اعتناء المرأة بالنظافة والتزيّن للزوج باللباس الجميل، والرائحة العطرة، والكلام الطيب عند اللقاء والاجتماع بينهما؛ ممّا يسبّب نفور الزوج من زوجته. تقصير أهل المرأة في السؤال عن الزوج ومعرفة حاله قبل الزواج.

3...أو إخفاء أهل الزوجة العيوب عن الزوج سواءٌ كانت العيوب في دينها أو خُلقها أو جسدها. عدم الكفاءة بين الزوجين في الدين والأخلاق والمكانة الاجتماعية، كأن تكون المرأة عند رجلٍ لا دين له فيُجبرها على الفساد والانحراف، أو يكون الرجل ذا دين، وتكون الزوجة ممّن يتساهلون بالمحرّمات في بيتها ولباسها، أو يؤدّي اختلاف المكانة الاجتماعية إلى ترفّع أحد الزوجين على الآخر؛
فيقع الشقاق بينهما. الغيرة المفرطة التي تؤدّي إلى شكّ أحد الزوجين في الآخر، وتسبّب انعدام الثقة بينهما. عدم معرفة كلٍ من الزوجين بحقوقه التي له وواجباته التي عليه. استخدام الزوج الطلاق كأداةٍ لتهديد الزوجة، إمَّا لإجبارها على عملٍ معيّنٍ، أو لنهيها عن عملٍ ما، فتُقدم المرأة على مخالفة الزوج، ويحدث الطلاق.
